A Royal Favorite Classic Wax Jacket
Established in 1894, Barbour is globally renowned for its windproof and waterproof wax jackets that are durable and long-lasting. Its exclusive waxed fabric withstands harsh weather, and its classic design has won favor with the British Royal Family, earning three Royal Warrants. From Queen Elizabeth and Princess Diana to Prince William and Kate Middleton, Barbour has a loyal following among the royals. The 2000s saw Barbour embodying a youthful, rock spirit, popular among singers at music festivals; Hollywood stars, fashion icons, business magnates, and politicians also include Barbour wax jackets in their wardrobes.
The Rugged Biker Style
The Barbour enthusiast’s collection includes the Bedale, suitable for horse riding and motorcycling; the Beaufort, designed for shooting and hunting; the long-coat style Border; the Beacon, boosted by the James Bond movies; and the original women's Beadnell, collectively known as the 'Classic 5Bs.' Additionally, the stylish Barbour International biker jacket is a must-have. Launched in 1936 by the third-generation Duncan Barbour, it quickly became a hit in the motorcycling world. During World War II, it was discovered and adapted by Captain George Philip of the British submarine Ursula, becoming a standard issue for the British Navy. In the 1960s, Hollywood's 'King of Cool,' Steve McQueen, reignited its popularity, making Barbour’s biker gear a talking point to this day.
